Found your post via Google, and I agree with the last point, the ability to browse by genre is so basic that I was kind of baffled to find it wasn’t available. Still really impressed with the service.

i skype with my daughter in h.k. and my other daughter in Berlin I Ichat, both are very good..now what will happen with skype with the MSFT deal..do you have any idea how that will play itself out?

@mike – Gitifier is pretty neat. Since Dropbox supports growl notifications I get similar notification already but definitely good to know. Thanks!

Great post Jeff. I agree that publishers need to dive-in asap, as digital publishing will be the primary way forward within 3-5 years. The transition of keeping staff on both the traditional and digital side will be expensive but necessary if the publishers are to keep digital competitors with a smaller barrier to entry at bay.

It’s really not that bad. It’s definitely not as slick as some other IM clients but it’s not MSN Messenger at least. There are few areas where they can definitely make the text chat better but as far as AV quality, ease of use, and stability goes … it kinda kills iChat.

Your bit about “Ass-kissing and being self-righteous can lead to success” depressed me because that is the same environment I work in. I have seen people completely change in the 2 years I have been with another big company in order to move into a higher position. I sometimes wonder if the change is also taking place outside of the work place and trickling down to their family.

Oh I have noticed this on the PS3 version for a while now. They have been a part of the game since it released on the PS3 I believe…they even show up during offline matches :(.
